Instant EnlightenmentEnlightenment is instant because Consciousness is always present no matter what we do or think.
But normally we take the long route . . . . . (at least, that's what I did) 
We look for enlightenment in complex, profound puzzles . . . 
We look for it in exotic gods (and try to bribe them with our service or with goodies) 
We chant until the cows come home . . . and they're not necessarily impressed with our singing . . . (well certainly not mine!) 
We look for enlightenment in the stars . . . 
We try to attain 'perfect health' as a means to enlightenment . . . 
We try yoga . . . 
We try mantras . . . Some beautiful, some not! 
We read holy texts and dissertations . . . 
We seek out the dead . . . 
We visit psychics . . . 
Some of us have tried religion . . . only to be told we are sinners . . . 
We try to capture positive thoughts and make them stick . . . 
We try to never have another negative thought . . . . 
In desperation some of us have tried all the paths . . . 
But we didn't need to go down any path (as beautiful as some of them are), because all along, empty, silent, consciousness was present at the core of our being and everyone elses being. . . and always will be . . . When we return again and again to this awareness we mature into enlightenment. We can relax. The seeker only existed in our imagination. The invitation on this page is to relax into this moment . . . its always here . . .
